Die Hard 4 - By Shadow Link
Yes, I did see the movie in cinema but I felt the theatrical version was not and did not live up to my expectations in terms of "language and violence" which is the trademark of the Die Hard series, so I decided to save my review to the promised uncut version of the DVD.
If you have ever seen any of the die hard movies, the main protagonist John McClane is a detective for the NYPD (New York Police Department) who some how always gets caught up in bad situations, If you loved Die Hard 1,2 and Vengeance (3), this movie will feel quite familiar, the attitude seems quite the same with explosive blockbuster action scenes, a bit more with a feel to Die Hard with a Vengeance since this movie is based outside instead of in one particular place eg.. building or airport, the movie moves around a lot more.
The main plot is that basically terrorists have found a way to put the whole USA at a halt, crash the stock markets send the country into crisis and take control over pretty much well everything, John McClane was only supposed to pickup a computer hacker which turned into a living nightmare when he had to end up saving the guy's life, onwards people still tried to kill the hacker and ended up causing John McClane to as we put in the series 'loosing his cool'.
Together John McClane and the computer hacker are the only hope in stopping the cyber terrorists and saving America.
Overall, I think this movie was good however in some areas it did feel a little 'over the top', but it was still good enough to be an accepted addition to the series, 8.3/10 is what I think this film deserves, it's a great piece not my favorite film but it's on the list and defiantly worth a watch.
